| Disturbed perception of sleep |
|
Some people report that they hardly sleep or do not sleep at all for days. But then, an examination in a sleep lab will show that this often does not correlate to the true circumstances. Though the sleep is restless and interrupted by awake phases, it is, however, substantially longer and more effective than subjectively felt. This is due to the fact that only the awake phases, and not the sleep phases, are consciously perceived. |
